Get there

Caticlan / Godofredo P. Ramos Domestic Airport (MPH) is the nearest airport, located just opposite to Boracay Island. Cebu Pacific, Philippines Airlines and more recently Air Asia, operates 1h flights from Manila and Cebu, with the prices starting in 60/80€ (round-trip).

The other option is by Kalibo International Airport (KLO), located almost 75km and 2h30 way, with several flights from domestic destinations as Manila, Cebu, Busan and Clark and International destinations like Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Seoul and Chongqing.

The best way to travel between the Airport and the hotel is the Southwest Tours Transfers. You’ll go by bus from the airport to the port, a boat to cross the sea and then a van direct to the hotel. The round trip from Caticlan costs 1223P (23€) and from Kabilo is 1443P (27€).

About the Island

With 10 km2 this small island was elected by many travel magazines as the best beach destination, located in the center part of Philippines, in Western Visayas region and 300km south of Manila.

With almost 3km, the west coast is the most known, and where is located the Station 1 (more calm place with a couple of bars and the more expensive), Station 2 (The hearth of the island with lots of hotels, shops and discos) and Station 3 (the cheapest, with several restaurants and hostels). There are several supermarkets, restaurants, shops, hotels and currency exchanger along the beach and even D Mall, an outdoor mall with several shops and a couple of ATM’s

When visit

The high season in between November and April. About the weather, the average temperatures are very stable along the year, rounding 30ºC and the low 24ºC. The less rainy mouths are December to March. The water mean temperature is 28ºC.

Where to stay

Average price of a 3 star hotel is 40€/night, a 4 star is 100€ and an hostel starts in 6€. The calmer and more expensive station is 1 and the cheapest is 3.
